The markets have turned in our favor for the month of October. We had growth of $3,344, versus the $89 we had in September.
This month we increased our contributions to my work 401k because I was able to get a significant increase in my compensation. It is still far, far less than what I would have made under my previous compensation plan, but I am grateful that my employer worked with me and got me to where I currently am. It will really help us out each month.
In addition to that, we increased our 401k contributions to 10%. That will not take affect until November. I’m excited to see that contribution grow.
Once the dust settles from my increases in pay and 401k contributions, Christy and I plan on taking the extra money and filtering it into other savings. We’ll give an update on that plan once we have one.
