We took a dip this month, with taking more out of savings than we put in and removing the same as we put into vacation, making this month a wash for that account.
This month in Savings we saved our normal $500, but…we got our credit card bill with the $2,500 balance for the new roof and other expenses. We transferred $3,800 to cover all of that. We were able to transfer $1,040 back with my paycheck and the monthly child tax credit. We earned $4.46 in interest.
In Vacation we saved our normal $200, but…we had some residual expenses from our vacation in the Poconos show up, so we transferred $200 back to checking to cover that. We earned 80 cents in interest.
I was notified last week that I’m receiving a 4.5% pay increase for the next year, so that is a positive. I have an idea of what that will be extra a month, but we are waiting until I get my first paycheck reflecting that to decide what, if anything, to do with it.
