This is a simple and tasty recipe for dinner biscuits. I usually make these little nuggets of deliciousness to accompany gumbo or black bean soup. They are quick and easy, and the whole family loves them. You can thank me later.
Ingredients
1 cup self-rising flour
1/2 cup butter (softened)
1 8oz. package of cream cheese (softened)
1/2 cup cheddar cheese
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. parsley
1/4 tsp. old bay seasoning
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
Directions
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Beat together the cream cheese and butter. Slowly add in the flour. After everything is well incorporated, mix in the cheddar cheese and spices. The mixture will be very thick.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Divide the mixture evenly into 12 parts. Roll each section into a ball and place on the parchment paper. You can fit all 12 balls on one baking sheet. Place the sheet in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.
Remove the dinner biscuits from the oven. Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in the microwave. Add 1/4 tsp of garlic powder to the butter. Using a brush, coat each biscuit with the garlic butter. Enjoy!
